The College of Pharmacy Council Holds its Seventh Open Session for the 2024-2025 Academic Year

The College of Pharmacy Council held its seventh open session for the 2024-2025 academic year on Tuesday, April 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM. The session was attended by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Atheer Khalaf Zgheir, and all esteemed College Council members.
At the beginning of the session, the esteemed Dean welcomed the Council members. The Chairman of the Council presented the most important directives and recommendations to His Excellency the Honorable Minister and the Honorable President of the University, emphasizing the need to adhere to and implement them.
The Council also discussed several topics on the agenda, including:
• The esteemed Dean discussed the final exams for the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year with Council members. The Chairman of the Council emphasized the need to prepare for the exams, which will begin, God willing, next week. The head of the college's examination committee was hosted, and the committee members were briefed on their preparations, most importantly preparing the examination halls and distributing students. The Dean instructed that the examination committee be provided with all necessary equipment and supplies. He emphasized the need to complete the annual effort grades and announce them to students in all academic subjects before the start of exams.
* The Dean discussed with the branch heads the issue of skill development and vocational training for students through holding several workshops and training courses for students in various fields, including computers, e-marketing, English language, artificial intelligence, critical thinking, creativity and innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility. The Dean emphasized the importance of these workshops and courses, given their significant role in developing students and enhancing their capabilities to work in all fields.
* The Chairman of the Council discussed with the Council members the issue of digital transformation and electronic automation. He emphasized the importance of digital transformation, especially as it is one of the most important goals in the college's strategic plan. The esteemed Dean emphasized the importance of harnessing all necessary capabilities to achieve digital transformation at the college in the near future.
* The Council discussed the research plan and the progress made in publishing research during the current period. The esteemed Chairman of the Council emphasized the ongoing follow-up of the completion and publication of research in secure repositories.
* The Council discussed several topics on the agenda, as well as some issues related to academic and administrative affairs, and took the necessary decisions in this regard.
