The College of Pharmacy Council Holds its Eighth Session - Second Open Session for the 2024-2025 Academic Year

 The College of Pharmacy Council held its eighth open session - the second part of the College Council for the 2024-2025 academic year at 10:00 AM. The session was chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Atheer Khalaf Zgheir, and attended by all esteemed College Council members.
At the beginning of the session, the esteemed Dean welcomed the Council members. The Chairman of the Council presented the most important directives and recommendations to the esteemed University President, emphasizing the need to adhere to and implement them.

The Chairman of the Council discussed preparations for the new academic year 2025-2026 with the heads of the branches. The Chairman of the Council listened to a summary from the head of each branch regarding the process of distributing curricula and assignments to faculty in an organized and unhindered manner. In this regard, the esteemed Dean explained that a meeting will be held with the college's teaching staff soon to address the most important problems and obstacles they face at the beginning of the new academic year.
The esteemed Dean emphasized the need for branch heads to follow up on the completion of faculty profiles for a number of faculty members who are experiencing difficulties completing their profiles. The esteemed Dean also emphasized the need to follow up on the completion of research projects scheduled for the remainder of the current year.
The esteemed Chairman of the Council discussed the issue of program accreditation at the College of Pharmacy. The College of Pharmacy has been working continuously on the program accreditation program to obtain national and then international accreditation for the College of Pharmacy. This program is part of the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq to raise the level of higher education and ensure that programs comply with national and international standards.
The Council discussed several topics on the agenda, including the promotion of a number of faculty members and the discussion of some issues related to academic and administrative affairs. The Council took the necessary decisions regarding these issues.
