The College of Pharmacy Council Holds its Fourth Open Session for the 2025-2026 Academic Year

The College of Pharmacy Council held its fourth open session – Part Two – for the 2025-2026 academic year on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The session was chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Atheer Khalaf Zghair, and attended by the members of the College Council.

The session began with the Dean welcoming the members of the Council and emphasizing the importance of continuing academic and administrative work to contribute to raising the scientific level of the College and enhancing its research activity.

The Council discussed several items on the agenda, most notably setting the dates for the mid-term exams for the second semester. Emphasis was placed on ensuring all necessary resources are available to guarantee the smooth conduct of the exams and adequate preparation.

The Council also stressed the importance of preparing a structured schedule for faculty members to visit the central laboratories at the university to familiarize themselves with the available research equipment and facilities and explore their potential use in supporting and developing scientific research.

In the same vein, the Dean urged faculty members holding academic titles to submit proposals for joint research projects with counterpart colleges, as well as to contribute to supervising graduate students, thereby strengthening academic cooperation and raising the scientific and research standards.

At the conclusion of the session, the College Council approved the final examination results for the first semester of the first year, after discussing and officially adopting them.
